1. What do we do, when we have received the badge in Open Badge Factory? How can we start using it?  

Plan how you want the students to apply for the badge. 

  • A. Application form in OBF 
  • B. Application form outside OBF, e.g. an online application form on your website (eLomake, Webropol etc.) or an application form that is e-mailed.  
  • Plan the process:
  • Who can check the applications at your university? Reviewer 
  • Who can issue the open badge? Issuer  
  1. Mitä tarkoittaa että merkki haetaan suoraan OBF:ista? 
  • Example from Centria UAS. The student applies for Global Talent Open Badge directly in Open Badge Factory. Centria has created an application form in OBF. The link to the application form is on the website with easy access for the students. The reviewer receives an e-mail when there is a new application pending. The reviewer can go a check the application and if all parts are OK, the issue Global Talent Open Badge to the student.
  • Tarkoittaa sitä, että olen lisännyt OBF:iin valmiin pohjan, jossa on ohjeet miten opiskelija ottaa merkin vastaan, ja jakaa sen LinkedIn:iin. 
  • Open Badge Factory askeleet (hakulomake sekä hakemus pending) 
  1. Mitä tarkoittaa että haetaan OBF:in ulkopuolelta? 
  • Metropolia: Opiskelija lähettää täytetyn hakulomakkeen sähköpostitse tarkistajalle. Jos OK, merkin myöntäjä (usein sama kuin tarkistaja) käy myöntämässä merkin OBF:ista. Merkin myöntäjä käy lisäämässä henkilölle merkin, lisää sähköpostin, ja käyttää valmista pohjaa mitä on tallentanut valmiiksi OBF:iin.
